This explains what we collect when you use Revive, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. We’re the data controller. We’re registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), registration number TODO_ICO_NUMBER.
TODO_COMPANY_NAME Ltd, registered in England and Wales (company no. TODO_COMPANY_NUMBER). Registered office: TODO_REGISTERED_ADDRESS.
What we collect
- Contact and delivery details — name, email, phone (if you give it), address and postcode.
- Your order — the pairs, services, prices, discount codes, delivery tracking and its history.
- Photos — the photos you send for a quote or casting entry, and the photos we take of your pair on arrival, before and after.
- Messages and reviews — what you send through our forms and any review you leave.
- Technical data — a scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address when you send a form, used only to stop spam; and, if you accept cookies, analytics and advertising data (see the cookie policy).
We don’t see or store your card details — payments are handled by our payment provider.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
- To do the work you booked — receiving, cleaning and returning your pair, sending updates and photos to approve (contract).
- To quote for a restoration or repair you asked about (steps before a contract).
- To keep records the law requires, such as sales records for HMRC (legal obligation).
- To prevent spam and fraud, and to improve our service (legitimate interests).
- To publish your review, and your before-and-after photos alongside it, only if you tick the box to let us (consent — you can withdraw it any time).
- Analytics and advertising cookies, only if you accept them (consent).
We only email you about your orders, quotes and reviews. We don’t send marketing without asking first.
Who we share it with
- Our technicians — trained self-employed technicians who clean some pairs see your first name, the job details and photos. If your pair is posted to them directly, they also see your return address.
- Delivery companies — your name and address to deliver your pair.
- Service providers who run parts of the site for us under contract: hosting, database and photo storage, email delivery, payments and error monitoring (set up not to collect personal details).
- Google, Meta and TikTok — only if you accept advertising cookies.
- Anyone we’re legally required to share it with.
Some providers process data outside the UK. When they do, it’s protected by UK adequacy regulations or the ICO’s approved transfer agreements. We never sell your data.
How long we keep it
- Orders and sales records — 6 years (HMRC requires it), then your name and address are removed from them.
- Photos of your pair from an order — 2 years after delivery, in case of a claim — longer only if you agreed to us showing them with your review.
- Quote and enquiry requests you didn't go ahead with — 12 months, then deleted with their photos.
- Casting entries — 12 months (winners: as long as they're featured on the site).
- Contact form messages — 2 years.
- Waitlist sign-ups — Until we've emailed you that bookings are open (deleted 30 days after), or 6 months.
- Prepaid shipping labels — 3 months after the order.
- Spam-prevention records (hashed IP addresses) — 30 days.
- Checkouts you started but didn't finish — 14 days.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- give you a copy of your data;
- correct anything that’s wrong;
- delete your data (unless we have to keep it, for example for tax records);
- restrict or object to how we use it, or move it to another provider;
- withdraw a consent you’ve given — for example, to stop showing your review.
Email hello@TODO_DOMAIN and we’ll respond within one month. If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, you can complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk.
